Customer Service Lifeguard Water Safety 1 min read

There's a day for secretaries, Housekeepers, Bosses, nurses, doctors and even chemists recognize moles day!

So why not an observance for Lifeguards!

I searched Google and there was no designated day or week on a national or international level, other than a few local efforts.

Join Me in a grass roots level to create a national or international observance for Lifeguards

WHY

  1. Lifeguarding is a profession
  2. Alongside Babysitting it is the job with the most responsibility with the least pay
  3. Lifeguards prevent negative consequences on a daily basis without recognition and get judged when something goes wrong and not when it goes right
  4. Lifeguarding can be an intense job that requires ongoing determination to provide a minimum level of safety
  5. Bring attention to water safety personnel and facilities to the public
  6. Assist in continuing recruitment of Water safety personnel
  7. Do I need anymore?

WHAT

  1. Media coverage
  2. Promotions and Activities to encourage recognition of the safety staff who provide necessary safety supervision for water recreation activities.
  3. Education of the public in what it takes to be a good lifeguard
  4. spotlight on the career opportunities
  5. Insert Endless ideas here

WHEN

  1. At the best time to recognize those that provide water safety service before the Summer or near the end of the summer when Lifeguards need the most encouragement after a busy hectic time AND when rescues are shown on tv more!
